Supporting a Medical Device Through Pilot Production
Supporting a Medical Device Through Pilot Production
The Challenge
A medical-device manufacturer needed a reliable manufacturing partner to produce a pilot batch of electronic control boards. The assembly required accurate placement of fine-pitch components, careful inspection and consistent quality across every unit.
The customer also needed the pilot batch within a limited development window to continue product testing and validation.
The Solution
Elcoteq reviewed the PCB design and manufacturing files before production. The boards were assembled using controlled solder-paste printing, automated SMT placement and a carefully monitored reflow process.
Automated optical inspection and visual quality checks were carried out to identify component-placement and soldering issues before delivery. Production records were also maintained to support batch traceability.
The Outcome
Elcoteq delivered a consistent pilot batch that was ready for the customer’s product-validation process. Early inspection helped reduce assembly-related issues and established a repeatable process for future production.
- Pilot Batch Delivered on Schedule
- Consistent Assembly Quality
- Improved Component Traceability
- Reduced Rework Requirements
- Boards Prepared for Product Validation
- Repeatable Process for Future Production
